360° photography doesn’t just show what you have. It opens doors your building physically can’t.
If you’re in the business where you want people to come to you, 360° photography can help you throw open the doors. You can showcase your business online, allowing customers to make an informed decision from a distance. A better quality of interaction, filtering in the right customers from the start.
Using 360° photographs on socials can help your posts stand out in your clients’ cluttered feeds, increasing the levels of engagement with your posts.
Immersive 360° virtual tours give customers a taste of the experience they are curious about, and help with that decision to book. By knowing more about what to expect, they can feel more emotionally engaged with the place and confident in going ahead with the reservation.
Let the theatregoer choose his seat. The sports fan experiences the stand and find the best spot. Let the whisky tourist plan their trip to the distillery, knowing what to look out for when they gets there.
Let’s talk about front doors. Yours is on Google Maps right now, in Street View. Or at least that’s where the Google car thinks your front door is. Did they pick a good day to show it off when they took that photo? Or is there a van in front of your sign and a person walking across the shot?
There’s no telling when the Google car might be back to retake the photo, and until then, all new prospective visitors to your premises are going to see that image when they look you up. Their first impression of you.
We can take the 360° photo on your terms and upload it to your Google Maps profile, giving you control over your first impression. You will stand out if you have 360 degree panoramic images while other businesses nearby only have static, two-dimensional photos.
Within your immersive 360° virtual tours, you can showcase your product, adding information and links to e-commerce pages, allowing customers to follow a smooth journey through to buy your product.
By introducing immersive 360° photographic tours, suddenly you’re opening up a virtual world for your customers that they couldn’t access before.
Maybe they want to take a look round, but it’s too late at night and you’re closed. Or your in-person tours are fully booked for the next month.
Or perhaps they live on the other side of the country so getting to you would mean extensive planning of a trip, which they’re not sure would be worth the bother. Or they live half-way round the world.
Mobility might be an issue and they want to see the stairs before they commit.
24/7, all year round, your clients can have so many more questions answered in the way they need them, with a mini experience of the real thing, making them more comfortable with their decision to travel to you. And when they arrive in person, their questions can be so much more specific.
That’s what we mean by throwing open the doors: you can be open 24/7/365 worldwide, in a new and more intensely experienced way than just ‘being’ on the internet.
Take a step back from the process and first make sure people asking for a viewing in person are actually interested. A richer online viewing experience means fewer unsuitable candidates making appointments, saving your valuable time for the clients who are genuinely interested.
You can run virtual tours, send out ‘scratch and sniff’ cards, sample packs of your product, and run live events using the immersive 360° virtual tours. Instead of pre-recorded audio, you can hold the mic and answer questions from anywhere on the globe.
The next pandemic, or storm, or financial crisis? You’re covered.
And you might want to run these events regularly anyway, if you have an active, growing market far from home.
Using 360° video greet your customers online as you would if they came through your front door.

NO, not really and you will certainly recoup the costs in your next successful booking.

Ultimately, it is a tool to help you increase your revenue, so the cost should never outweigh that increase.
Can I see some examples of other companies who have benefited from 360° photography?
Why 360° rather than ordinary 2d-photographs, or even panoramic view on my smartphone?
The technical specification of the cameras we use is far higher than those of a smartphone, and in addition to taking the photographs, we do a lot of post-processing work behind the scenes including editing. Several photographs come out of the camera, and we stitch them together to create the one, seamless 360° photograph, also removing any stray items like someone’s foot or the camera's monopod feet. The level of detail you can then zoom-in on is extraordinary and far clearer than something from a smartphone. What's more, we can add links in to sell your merchandise and product straight from where it’s on display in your shop.
Why immersive photography and 360° virtual tours rather than ordinary video?
The 360° virtual tour is an interactive experience, putting the customer in the driving seat.
The viewer can choose what view they want, and move around the photograph as much as they want, zooming-in on interesting details and choosing how quickly they move from room to room (or image to image). There is no need to rewind to see something again, whereas a video whizzes past; here you can simply adjust the view yourself and peer in to your heart’s content.
Can you add audio to the 360° virtual tours?
YES, absolutely.
Whether you would like to add that yourself, or you would like us to add it, a pre-recorded audio is a great touch to guide a customer through your tour.
You can even add live audio, creating a virtual event in your venue, where you speak live with customers anywhere in the world in your business venue.
How long does it take to get the virtual tour and the assets?
When we have taken the photographs and agreed on your package, we will also agree timescales for editing and the virtual tour production. As a rough guide, a simple set of photographs and a tour would normally take around 7-14 days.
I already have 360° photographs, can you edit and build us a virtual tour?
YES, absolutely.
We collaborate with other photographers around the world. Ask them to send us the images and we will create and publish a virtual tour for you. For any virtual tours using images that we have not taken: we charge £25 per image (up to 100 images) which includes editing and building the virtual tour. Hosting is charged at our standard rate.
What 360° Camera do you recommend?
We recommend using a specific 360° camera like the Insta360 X5 or Trisio Lite 2 which are much cheaper than many other bigger 360° cameras. This we believe is the best way to capture any panoramic images but is not entirely necessary.
If you don’t have a 360° camera yet and are looking for one, see here :
Trisio Lite2 for your indoor photographs
or
Insta360 X5 for your outdoor photographs and videos
How do I replay 360° photographs or view my virtual tour?
SIMPLE! We can host your 360° photographs (as well as creating the virtual tours) and provide you with the relevant viewing links or iframe code to place on your website. We also provide the assets (360°s photograph as .jpg images) so you can upload to your socials to get that extra motion and orientation wow factor (of course we will provide clear guidance).
The alternative: you can host in your own account. Here is a link to one such software solution (Panoee) that we recommend. Register for an account, it is FREE and provide us with the login details so we will then add your 360° photographs and create your virtual tours, here in your own account. There is a collaborator feature making editing and changes much easier. This way we do not charge you a hosting fee but depending on what you want to do in your account and your storage requirements are, you might incur an account charge instead from Panoee.
How do I get my virtual tour to display on my website?
We provide an 'iframe code' and some instructions on how to add this to your website.
If you prefer, we can also talk directly your web-developer.

Tips and Tricks to taking a 360° image?
is your space ready
natural light: open all curtains/blinds
turn on all lights (over head as well as lamps too) though turn off any fluorescent signs
chairs straight, sofas and cushions pumped, rubbish cleared away, free of clutter
**take care to avoid** camera/monopod mirror reflection
**make sure** camera is in the centre of the room for all images
if the centre is a table, adjust the monopod height so this image is at the same level
remember to capture the outside areas too, driveways and street views
for large rooms (and outside spaces) take several photographs
avoid moving people and direct sunlight where possible
walk-through a space naturally taking photographs as you go, one after another
doors shut or open optional (similarly with cupboards- recommend shut unless a feature like walk-in wardrobe)
if shooting a rental property make sure beds are made and it is clean & tidy as guests will judge
Will we travel if required?
YES, to shoot 360° photographs we'll go wherever is necessary, within. For editing, we can be almost anywhere we can get internet access. For a quote and the planning process this can be done on the phone or via a zoom call.
